Roasted Za'atar Almonds
INGREDIENTS
- 1 egg white 
- 2 cups almonds, raw 
- 2 Tbls olive oil 
- 1 tsp Maldon salt 
- 1/4 cup za’atar spice 
- 2 tsp maple syrup 
METHOD
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius 
- Place raw almonds in a bowl. 
- In a separate bowl whisk egg white until frothy. 
- Combine egg white, oil, salt, Za’atar spice and maple syrup. 
- Pour mixture over almonds making sure they are all coated. 
- Spread nuts onto a baking tray and bake for ~ 10- 15 min ( keep an eye on them so they do not burn). 
- Turn off oven and let the almonds cool in the oven with the door slightly open. 
- Place in an airtight container. 
 Note: you can use other types of nuts. These are perfect for a snack or to sprinkle over a salad. 2 Tbls is the recommended serving size.
